An Animal Mystery: The Case of the Missing Flower

A fun short story for animal lovers

chapter one

Once upon a time there was a girl named Emilia. She lived in a place called animal world. Animal world was a place whare animals could talk and humans could understand them, and animals could understand humans. Emilia liked to help her mom. Especially with the garden. Her favorite flower was planted at the very front of it! It was pink and purple with a white inside. but one day she went out to help her mom and.... "my flower its, its, gone!"

chapter two

Emilia's mom came to see what was happening. Emilia told her what had happend. Emilia showed her mom the hole whare her flower had been. "Well, those claw marks show us it wasn't a person at least," said her mom. "It was an animal." She gave Emilia permission to leave in search of the flower. "Bye!" said her mom "I hope you find it!" then she added "Don't forget to be back by supper!"

chapter three

Then Emilia was off. She desided to go to the desert first, because it was closest. the desert was the home of Clarabell The Camel. While she was walking, she desided to visit her. She told clarabell what had happened, and explained the flower. Clarabell said that she saw something pink being carryed by a black and white striped animal. "Thank you!" said Emilia and she was off.

chapter four

Next Emilia thougt she would go to the forest next , but she ended up at the swamp. "Whatever" She muttered, then cheerd herself up by remembering that Amy the aligator lived just around the corner from where she was! She knocked on Amy's door and heard a grumble from inside. Emilia stopped herself from giggling. that was how Amy said "fine, come in". Amy saw Emilia and instanly cheered up. Emilia was the only person (or animal, other than some of the other aligators) that could make Amy happy. She was grumpy almost all the time. When Emilia told her what happened, Amy replied with a gruff "I did see a little rascel trin' to steal somthin' in my bag o' garbage. I told 'er to shoo, and it just asked fer a place to hide it's little purple thingie. I just slammed the door on that little rascel.

chapter five

Emilia left Amy's house and discovered a trail of paw prints leading from Amy's door that she hadn't noticed before. She followed the trail all the way to the river. "I'll never find my flower now!" she cried. Suddenly a nearby bush shook. Emilia looked up to see a ringed tail stick out. "Rusty?" she exclaimed. Rusty the raccoon hopped out of his bush with something purple in his hands. Emilia's flower. "Why did you steal my flower?" she asked. "Your flower?" Rusty said. "This is my lunch!" Emilia groaned. "I'll give you these if you give my flower back," she offered, and took some fruit snacks from her pocket."Um, OK," said Rusty and exchanged the flower for the small bag. Then both Emilia and Rusty went home happy.
